Liquid Catering is the Upstate’s only special bartending company specializing in full-service bar services for weddings, corporate functions, fundraising galas, festivals, private events, and more. After several years with Sticky Fingers restaurant as Catering Manager Tammy realized that there were plenty of food catering companies, but no one in the area focusing on providing top notch beverage packages. This industry gap sparked an idea and the rest is history!
Like any small business, Liquid Catering started from scratch in January 2011. Scratch meaning in Tammy’s basement with no ice machine, no company vehicle other than a personal car, and no scheduling system. The obstacles were obvious but once big name clients starting calling to book bar services for their signature events, they were overcome with a positive outlook and hardworking staff.
In the spring of 2012, Liquid Catering moved its operations into a downtown warehouse location. Still the company’s current home, the building has proved extremely resourceful as a hub for Tammy and her crew. Fast forward to now and Liquid Catering has two sister companies with 15 full-time employees, roughly 75 part-time staff members, and a steady stream of interns. As business continues to grow, so do the ideas.
